I think you all know who this is: |
What you need:
- 1x blue wool (take the shade you like) - best would be a size 3-4 wool
- 1x lighter blue wool (or cream, or white, for the wings) - best would be a size 4-5 wool
- 2x crochet hook (1x size 3/4, 1x size 4/5) - I recommend sizes 3 and 4
- 1x stuffing
- 1x crafting wire (only if your lighter wool is size 3-4)
PART 1 - blue wool:
Step 1:
Do a circle with 6 single crochets(=sc).
Do 2sc in 1sc, for 1 row(=r).
Do 1sc in 1sc, 2sc in 1sc for 1r.
Do 1sc in 2sc, 2sc in 1sc for 1r.
Do 1sc in 3sc, 2sc in 1sc for 1r.
Do 1sc in 4sc, 2sc in 1sc for 1r.
Do 1sc in 5sc, 2sc in 1sc for 1r.
Do 1sc in 6sc, 2sc in 1sc for 1r.
Do 1sc in 7sc, 2sc in 1sc for 1r.
Do 1sc in 8sc, 2sc in 1sc for 1r.
Do 1sc in 9sc, 2sc in 1sc for 1r.
You can stop there and Navi will have a diameter of approximately 5cm.
If you want Navi to be bigger, you need to increase the number of sc in which you put only 1sc.
Step 2:
When You find it big enough:
Do 1sc in 1sc for 8r. (this is in case you stopped at "1sc in 9sc, 2sc in 1sc for 1r", if you continued, juste add a few more rows).
Step 3:
Do 1sc in 8sc, crochet 9th and 10th sc together for 1r. (replace the 9 with the number of rows you took if you made it bigger).
Do 1sc in 7sc, crochet 8th and 9th sc together for 1r.
Do 1sc in 6sc, crochet 7th and 8th sc together for 1r.
Do 1sc in 5sc, crochet 6th and 7th sc together for 1r.
Do 1sc in 4sc, corchet 5th and 4th sc together for 1r.
Do 1sc in 3sc, crochet 4th and 5th sc together for 1r.
Stuff it.
Do 1sc in 2sc, crochet 3rd and 4th sc together for 1r.
Do 1sc in 1sc, crochet 2nd and 3rd sc together for 1r.
Crochet 1st and 2nd sc together for 1r.
Sew up if there's a gap left.
~Body finished~
PART 2 - lighter wool:
Step 1:
Chain 30+1.
Turn around, do 1sc in 1sc, chain1 for 2r.
Turn around, do 1double-crochet(=dc) in 10sc,chain1, 1sc in 20sc,chain1.
Turn around, do 1sc in 11sc, chain1, 1dc in 15sc, chain1.
Turn around, do 1sc in 3sc, chain1, 1dc in 7sc, 1sc in 20sc, chain1.
Turn around, do 1sc in 17sc,chain2, 1triple-crochet(=tc) in 3sc, chain1, 1dc in 6sc, 1sc in 4sc,chain1.
Turn around, do 1sc in 2sc, chain1, 1dc in 8sc, chain1, 1sc in 20sc.
Finish off.
Do it twice so you have the two upper-prats of the wings.
Step 2:
Chain 20+1.
Turn around, do 1sc in 1sc, chain 1 for 2r.
Turn around, chain2, 1tc in 3sc, 1dc in 6sc, 1sc in 11sc, chain1.
Turn around, do 1sc in 11sc, chain1, 1dc in 5sc, 1tc in 4sc, chain1.
Turn around, chain2, 1tc in 4sc, 1dc in 5sc, chain1, 1sc in 11sc, chain1.
Turn around, do 1sc in 12sc, chain1, 1dc in 5sc, chain1, 1tc in 3sc, chain 1.
Turn around, do 1dc in 7sc, chain1, 1sc in 13sc.
Finish off.
Do it twice so you have the two lower-prats of the wings.
PART 3 - assembling:
Step 0:
If you used a size 3-4 wool for the wings, or if they're not stiff, this is what you need to do:
Get thick white wool and crafting wire.
Crochet 1sc in 1sc with the white wool once all around the wings, to make it look like this:
If They're still not wtiff enough, get the crafting wire.
Cut off a piece of crafting wire that you estimate long enough to surround the wings.
Slipt the crafting wire through the sc like a needle.
Once you went around a whole time, twist the ends of the crafting wire together to fix them.
Cut off if there's too much left.
Bend the wings as you want them to be.
Step 1:
For everyone.
Sew the four wing parts together like this:
Upper-part - Upper-part
Lower-part/ \Lower-part
Step 2:
For everyone.
Sew the square where all four wing parts overlay on to the sphere.
Re-arrange the wings to make them look neat.
Now you have your very own Navi!
Good Luck!
